Crankbrothers is a brand specialising in MTB pedals. This small California-based company shook up the clipless pedal market in the early 2000s with the Eggbeater: this pedal model meets all the needs of mountain bikers and cyclocross riders, with the added bonus of a very light weight compared to the competition! There are no longer two but four engagement faces, which makes clipping in faster when the sole slips in mud or dust, and the pedal structure allows for very efficient mud shedding.

Crankbrothers currently offers many pedal models on Probikeshop.fr. The Eggbeater model remains one of the brand's flagship products and comes in several versions in different colours with different prices depending on the lightness and durability of the materials chosen. The same applies to the Candy, but offers a larger platform area which can also be useful for riding without clipping in. The Mallet and 5050 pedals from Crankbrothers are flat pedals, better suited to downhill or freeride (the Mallet model also offering the possibility of clipping in)
