Seat clamp – To maintain the correct saddle height

The seat clamp for road bikes is fitted at the top of the seat tube, so as to grip the seatpost inserted inside. Tightening a seat clamp thus contributes to finding the cyclist's preferred position, as it determines the height of the saddle they have chosen. Poor fixing of the seat clamp or deterioration of its clamping over time can detract from the enjoyment normally experienced during a bike ride. The seatpost dropping into the tube with each transition between standing and seated position, or the constant need to retighten the mechanism controlling the part's adjustment!

Seat clamp – Check the diameter of your seat tube!

Among the criteria for choosing a seat clamp, compatibility with the diameter of your road bike's seat tube is paramount! There are indeed parts in different diameters, each suited to a bike frame standard. 28.6, 31.8 or 34.9 mm are just some of the seat clamp diameters available for you to choose from on our site. For the rest, the clamping method — bolt or lever closure — should also be taken into account, as should the look and colour of the part of your choice!
