REMINDER :Visit mountain bike cranksets Hollowtech II and GXP cranksets are the most widely used, so here's how to fit these versions.
1. Grease the crankset axle to facilitate assembly and protect it from corrosion.
2. Thread the axle into the bottom bracket until it stops. In the case of a GXP, you may need to add washers before inserting the axle. Please refer to the manual.
3. Fit the 2nd crank on the bottom bracket axle.
4. For a Hollowtech II adjust the play in the crankset using the nut at the end of the axle, then tighten the two BTR screws on the crank to the torque indicated. For a GXP, tighten the bolt at the end of the axle to the indicated torque.
Your crankset is now assembled. It's important to check play and tightness after your first ride at bike.
