How to fit tubeless ready / tubeless MTB tyres?

Even if the fitting process seems identical, it is important to distinguish between a Tubeless MTB tyre Tubeless and Tubeless Ready. Unlike Tubeless tyres, Tubeless Ready tyres are made with a lighter, porous rubber that requires the use of sealant liquid to make them airtight.

Steps

Reminder: Tubeless Ready tyres must be fitted with sealant liquid, whereas a Tubeless tyre can be fitted without. However, it is recommended to also use sealant liquid on the latter to prevent punctures caused by penetration.

Fit the valve without the valve core onto your wheel to facilitate air flow for the next step.
Lubricate the rim and the first bead of the tyre you are going to fit with soapy water.
Place the first bead onto the rim.
Probikeshop tip: make sure to respect the tyre rolling direction indicated on the sidewall.
Still using soapy water, lubricate the second bead and place it on the rim, starting from the side opposite the valve but leaving the bead protruding by approximately 20 cm.
Pour 60 ml of sealant liquid into the tyre, then finish fitting the bead.
Inflate the tyre using a compressor or, failing that, a high-volume pump until the beads "snap" into place, indicating that they are now seated.
Probikeshop tip: be careful not to exceed the maximum pressure indicated on the tyre.
Deflate the tyre, then refit the valve core* into the valve, and then inflate to the correct pressure.
Probikeshop tip: keep the valve at the highest point during this operation to prevent the sealant from leaking out through it.
Rotate the wheel on its axle, shaking it vigorously both horizontally and vertically to distribute the product all around the inside of the tyre.
Check the pressure.
