ASSOS SPRING FALL Black Toe Covers

The toe covers Assos Spring Fall Toe Cover P1 are ultra-compact half-overshoes designed to protect the front of the foot, the area most exposed to headwind. Perfect for mid-season (spring/autumn) or cool summer morning starts, they simply slip over the toe of your road shoes to block draughts and light water splashes.

Made from a lightweight and highly stretchy neoprene fabric, they conform perfectly to the shape of the shoe without creating aerodynamic creases. The underside features an abrasion-resistant reinforced material with a fitted opening to allow the cleat to pass through. This is the essential accessory to always have in your jersey pocket: they can be pulled on and off in a matter of seconds depending on temperature changes.

Can these toe covers be used with MTB or Gravel shoes? They are optimised for road shoes with a smooth sole. Although the fabric is stretchy, the prominent lugs on MTB or Gravel shoes may excessively stretch the underside opening, which could accelerate wear or tear the material when walking. For off-road use, opt for winter socks or full overshoes designed for the purpose.

What is the ideal temperature range for using them? They perform particularly well in a temperature range of 10°C to 18°C. Below 10°C, or in the event of sustained heavy rain, a pair of full overshoes (such as the Assos Winter Booties) will be needed to protect the entire foot and ankle.

How do you clean them after a muddy ride? Do not put them in the tumble dryer. A simple rinse with warm water and a sponge is generally sufficient to remove road or mud splashes. If necessary, wash them by hand or in a machine at 30°C on a delicate cycle in a laundry bag. Leave them to air dry.
