Description

The BBB BTL-125 chain wear indicator allows you to quickly and easily check the degree of wear on your chain, in order to maintain smooth drivetrain performance and extend the service life of your chainrings and cassette.

This tool features wear control from 75% to 100%. It is also equipped with 2 hooks to keep the chain free during a link change, a tool to remove a valve and 5/6 and 8 mm hex keys.

A problem of values

"Following this purchase and measurement of my Sram Eagle GX chain, I had a doubt about the value indicated by the tool. I used a friend's tool, a Park Tool 3.2, and the measurement did not match that taken with the BBB. I've compared 4 chains at different wear levels, and each time the result is different for the BBB. For example, if I measure 0.75% wear with the BBB, I get 0.5% with the Park Tool. The caliper measurement confirms the 0.5%. I haven't noticed this problem anywhere, but I can only observe."
