The chainring Pride Racing Hexagon (non-threaded version) retains the cutting-edge design and geometry that made the Hexagon range a success, while maintaining traditional compatibility. It is aimed at riders who already own premium or titanium chainring bolts and wish to keep them when changing their gear ratio.
CNC-machined with precision from 7075-T6 aluminium alloy, its distinctive hexagonal structure provides excellent lateral stiffness. This design distributes forces optimally across the entire chainring, ensuring no power is lost during the initial pedal stroke.
What is the difference between this model and the Hexagon "4 threaded bolts" version? This model has traditional smooth holes. You therefore need to use standard chainring nuts on the back to secure the chainring to your crankset spider. This is the ideal version if you already own your own hardware (titanium or coloured, for example).
Is it compatible with all crankset brands? Yes, as long as your crankset uses the 4-bolt standard with a 104 mm bolt circle diameter (BCD 104), which covers the majority of BMX Race brands (Pride, Shimano DXR, Forward, Box, etc.).
Why choose 7075-T6 aluminium over another alloy? 7075-T6 offers the best resistance to stretching and wear. A chainring subjected to repeated BMX starts must be non-deformable to guarantee maximum drivetrain efficiency.
