The DT SWISS freewheel body freewheel body allows Shimano drivetrain on your DT Swiss hub.
It features Ratchet technology, a patented freewheel system with high-precision gear rings for maximum stress resistance and reliability. And thanks to the "no tool" concept, it's quick and easy to maintain.
With each pedal stroke, the teeth of the two crown gears engage perfectly at the same time. Unlike the ratchet system, where the contact surface of the hubs is relatively small, here each tooth engages with its full surface in the opposite tooth, creating significantly lower point loads. The result: the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs and the inimitable sound of their toothed crowns!
