Description

Evolution of the legendary Python, multiple XC World Cup winner notably with Julien Absalon, the HUTCHINSON Python 2 tire tire is designed for Cross-Country on dry to slightly loose terrain.

In this new version, the Python 29x2,25 combines limited-height sideblocks divided into three distinct sections for optimum grip when cornering, a central chain of studs for maximum speed on dry terrain while guaranteeing permanent contact with the ground, and in between, turned-up "pistol" studs for hard, biting braking.

Combined with the new RaceRipost XC triple tread compound and the Hardskin textile grid reinforcement in high-strength nylon placed under the tread and on the sidewalls to avoid cuts from angular stones, this model boasts excellent performance in terms of both efficiency and longevity.

Available here in Tubeless Ready, version, it can be fitted with or without an inner tube.

Designed by French manufacturer HUTCHINSON, the Python 2 is ideal for rear mounting and perfectly complements the Cobra or Cougar at the front.

My old mountain bike

"My old mountain bike only ran on Python. ... My new one received a maxxis icon, 2 rides, 2 punctures ... . Back to Python, since then no more problems ... coincidence ?? super-rolling tire for XC use, I love them ..."

Laurent O. (5/5)

Porous tire right from mounting.

"Disappointed! This is the third time I've installed this tire on my bike. Never been disappointed until now, but this one turns out to be porous... . I thought I had a micro-leak somewhere, I suspected my valve and changed it, but leaving the wheel in a basin, you can see bubbles forming all over the tire structure. . . Let's bet it's an isolated defect. It doesn't prevent you from riding, but if you're on a long trip, you'll have to stop to top up the pressure. Annoying, considering the price . ."

Extremely rolling

"VERY rolling tire with excellent performance. Good traction and road holding in dry conditions, no matter if on rock or dirt, sand... . Only flaw for my taste is the weight."

Sansande972 (5/5)

Very good as new but wears out fast

"Very good for front mounting on dry, rocky terrain. The only drawback is that they wear out fairly quickly and the side studs pull out. Downhill cornering grip then completely collapses."

Chris13vtt (4/5)

Good light tire.

"For those who want to ride fast with a light, technical tire. In XC, for riding on paths that are not too rough ."

"tire to put on the rear rear. I've been using them for 20 years".

Gtsmart (5/5)

Incredible

"I bought this product to replace original tires that punctured very often and I'm completely happy with them. Not only have I not had a puncture in the last 10 mountain bike outings, but they also grip well on the ground and are quiet when I get back on the road."

Blackbele (5/5)

Very good tire

"I've always ridden a python, a rolling tire on almost any surface."

Fredo2812 (5/5)

A super rear tire for dry-weather XC

"After a year's use on asphalt (going to work) and gravel/woodland surfaces, I'm very satisfied: very good grip, top performance (from my point of view) and very good resistance to hardskin punctures (I'm talking about city runs with nails, bits of glass, etc.). ). I've only had one puncture in a year, and given the nail, no tire could have withstood it. What's more (even if it doesn't add anything to the effort), it looks great and the design of the studs gives it real style. I bought several in advance without hesitation, having already tested schwalbe racing ralph (too fragile) and Michelin wild race'r, which were very good but wore out too quickly for my taste. A little plus for me: it's a French company! :-)"
