Description

Developed and tested in collaboration with Greg Minnaar, the MAXXIS Assegai 27.5x2.50 WT Exo Dual tyre takes its name from a spear of the Zulu people of South Africa. It is therefore the perfect weapon to tackle the mountains.

It features tall knobs providing great traction and good support on dry and wet, rooty or rocky terrain. The Dual Compound rubber guarantees maximum grip in corners while reducing rolling resistance.

In this version Tubeless Ready which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features reinforced Exo sidewalls. Lightweight and resistant, this material is particularly suited to rocky trails.

Assegai tire

"Great grip, nothing to complain about".

Florent P. (5/5)

Good motor skills

"Good tire for enduro good traction on all types of terrain, stone dirt"

Julien. M. (5/5)

strong

"very sturdy tire for use in the south of France, pebbles, schist, very sturdy sidewalls, only drawback: very fast wear on VVTAE".

Anonymous (5/5)

Very good grip

"Very good grip, easy to mount, quite light weight."

Alexander86 (5/5)

.

"Good flu but I think a bit fragile on the flanks."

Mika60 (4/5)

Very good enduro tire

"Very good enduro tire. No worries with tubeless. Needs a bit of angle in corners for good grip. This is due to the rounded profile of the tire. I ride in dry conditions and on pebbles (south of France) and after more than a hundred km, no problems with the studs. Good performance on rolling and hard sections, very grippy on loose surfaces. In short, a very good tire."

Spadouche (5/5)

Not for the mud!

"Strengths: very easy to fit, very good on dry terrain, 2.50 allows mounting on 27""5, design. Weaknesses: very, very poor break-in due to close crampons. Winter use and muddy outings prohibited: not as versatile as advertised and much less than a DHR."
