MAXXIS ASSEGAI 29x2.50 WT Exo+ 3C tire MaxxGrip Tubeless Ready Soft Black

Developed and tested in collaboration with Greg Minnaar, the MAXXIS Assegai 29x2.50" 3C Maxx Grip Exo+ tire takes its name from a spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. This makes it the perfect weapon for fighting the mountains.

It features high crampons for great traction and support on dry, damp, rooty or rocky terrain. The 3C Maxx Grip rubber combines three different compounds: one is hard for the base of the studs to ensure rigidity when deforming them and maintain a precise set; the second is soft for the central studs to optimize their deformation when braking, pedaling and negotiating obstacles; and the last is very soft for the sidewall studs to provide maximum grip when cornering.

In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tire is also equipped with an Exo+ carcass, increasing puncture resistance by 27% and pinch resistance by 28%, while improving sidewall durability by 51%. It combines two proven technologies: the Silkshield textile layer placed from bead to bead, which improves tread strength, and EXO protection, which reinforces the tire's sidewalls.
