Description
The Muc-Off V2 valves are much more than simple coloured accessories. Completely redesigned, they are now made from aeronautical-grade 7075 aluminium, making them lighter and more resistant than the previous version.
Their great innovation lies in the 6-slot internal airflow system at the base of the valve. This design allows air and sealant to flow freely, even if you use tyre inserts (foam protection). No more clogged valves or difficulties getting the tyre to bead during fitting.
What length should I choose for my rims? For standard MTB rims, 44 mm is sufficient. If you have deep-section rims (road or carbon), 60 mm or 80 mm will be needed for the valve to protrude enough for the pump.
Does the sealant clog the valve? Thanks to the new base design, the risk is greatly reduced. However, it is still advisable to remove the valve core from time to time to clean it if you are using a very thick liquid.
Is the installation difficult? No, the installation is very intuitive. The choice of included seals allows you to create a watertight seal by hand, without needing to overtighten the nut.
Why is 7075 preferable? This alloy is much harder than standard aluminium. This prevents the valve from bending or breaking if you give it a slightly rough pump stroke.
