The classic Newton version (this model) is optimised for overall weight reduction and debris evacuation, whereas the CI (Chain Inertia) version features a full machined profile to maximise lateral stiffness and chain alignment under heavy load.
Is it compatible with my current crankset? If your crankset has a 4-arm spider with a 104 mm bolt circle diameter (BCD 104), it is 100% compatible. This is the standard used by Pride, Shimano (DXR), Forward, Box, etc.
