What does the EB24 standard mean? The "EB" refers to the Euro Bottom Bracket shell standard (BSA threading), while "24" indicates the internal bearing diameter, designed specifically to accommodate a 24 mm bottom bracket spindle.
Is it compatible with Press Fit frames (BB86, BB30)? No. This bottom bracket has threads and screws directly onto the outside of the frame. It is exclusively intended for frames equipped with a threaded bottom bracket shell to the Euro/BSA standard (the most widespread standard on aluminium BMX frames).
How can I extend the life of this bottom bracket? Although the bearings are sealed and very well protected, it is advisable to regularly clean the area around the cranks with clean water and to avoid directing a high-pressure washer jet directly at the bottom bracket seals. An initial installation with quality grease on the frame threads is also essential to prevent any future creaking.
