The SHIMANO DEORE XT RD-M8200-SGS represents the new generation of mechanical rear derailleurs for aggressive MTB riding. Designed to deliver maximum reliability on all terrain, it benefits from a compact, chamfered design that reduces the risk of impact with obstacles. Its reinforced architecture allows it to tackle both marathon rides and the most demanding enduro stages.

At the heart of its performance lies SHIMANO SHADOW ES technology, an evolution of the SHADOW concept developed to improve derailleur protection and drivetrain stability. In the event of a knock against a stone or root, an internal spring system absorbs the impact and helps the derailleur return automatically to its original position, ensuring consistent operation even in the most demanding conditions.

Compatible with 12-speed HYPERGLIDE+ drivetrains, the RD-M8200-SGS features a long cage suited to 10-51 tooth cassettes. Its gear range of up to 510% ensures remarkable versatility for climbing the steepest gradients as well as maintaining speed on rolling sections. The sealed pulleys and armoured teeth limit debris ingress to preserve smooth and precise gear shifting.
