Its installation, which can be carried out at the level of a handlebar or on the downtube, requires special attention, as it requires specific compatibility of your handlebar - It also requires your frame to have an opening to accommodate it. In this new configuration, it features two ports and must be connected with the EW-JC130 Y-cable.
Although its shape and design have changed to fit in better, this connection box remains the central unit of the Di2 electronic system, its brain, which sends shifting commands to the derailleurs. It pairs with the E-Tube Project app on your smartphone, via Bluetooth.
It powers the battery and shows its charge level, via the two built-in LEDs. Thanks to its button, you can re-pair the rear derailleur after activation of its protective function, in the event of a shock. Finally, you can change the operating mode using the same button.
