Surprising measured values. . .
"I wasn't convinced by this tester, which indicated almost 0.5% wear on a completely new chain (just out of the box). I don't think I misused it, but its indications didn't inspire confidence in me."

To avoid poor gear shifting and abnormal sprocket wear, most chain manufacturers recommend replacement when more than 1% of play is observed.
The UNIOR chain wear indicator allows you to quickly determine the wear and play of any chain. Place each end of the tool in a link, turn the indicator and then check the wear with a simple and precise dial reading.

"Quite strong and precise. I recommend it. Professional tool."
"A slightly overkill tool, but well-built, precise, very solid and durable."
"Easy to use and precise tool, even if you have to pay attention to the locking of the thumbwheel".
"Very easy to use and quick to measure. Does the job very well."
"Great . Easy to use. I recommend this product."
"The instrument is heavy and sturdy but already shows 0.25% wear on two new chains, one of which is a KMC bought from probike. Not great for a professional precision instrument that's supposed to tell us when the chain has reached 0.75% wear, "normal" according to probike's after-sales service. A deaf ear, I gave up. On the other hand, the relative precision seems good. Note that the measurement peaks at 1% before the ergo returns to its initial position after a complete turn of the knob. Enough to change the chain in time."
"A pro's tool, for experienced users only, well made, nicely finished, in a box that protects it well, simple to use, only problem, no indication of the limit values for replacing the chain?"
"Bought this item last week, good tool design, easy to use, graduations on dial too small"
"After having slammed 2 chains, after having been set on fire by my curler, I invested in this controller (the same as the pro near me). Now I know where I stand and I no longer have the stress of not knowing the wear of my chain. It's more expensive than the double metal 0.75 and 1 %, but it gives a reading of 0.0 to 1.0. Plus, a nice case for storing it properly."
